Last week, I told you all about our gratitude reset at Sanctuary Canyon. Remember how I said that choosing to have an attitude of gratitude just makes everything seem rosier, even if it doesn’t change the situation?
Well, it turns out (again!) that an attitude of gratitude is even more powerful than we realize. I am beyond proud of how well Jake and I handled not having water, especially with a guest and a dinner party. But the real magic happened after everyone had left and we were still relentlessly positive about the situation.
The well and pump repair man came back just one more time and checked out our system and on a Hail Mary idea, cut the water line and tried to shove a long, thin stick through the valve that was open. It didn’t go through. He discovered instead that the valve was broken!!
In less than two hours, we had water again!! It was a MIRACLE! We didn’t have to trench a four-foot-deep ditch a quarter-mile long because we received a miracle!
I’m telling you right now, miracles happen. I experienced one last week. It was MAGICAL AND INCREDIBLE AND MIRACULOUS AND JUST THE BEST THING EVER!!!
We have water!!!! And no trench!!! It’s a miracle!!!
If you’ve ever doubted the power of gratitude, I’m telling you—it is NO JOKE. Gratitude changes everything—it even restored water to our home without us having to take dramatic and expensive measures.
Talk about magic?! Right?!!
I’m beyond grateful to have seen magic happen right in front of my face yet again. We are so blessed, and our attitude of gratitude is even more powerful because we’ve seen firsthand what it can produce. It’s worth more than gold.
And you’ll never believe what that old valve said on it when he pulled it out and replaced it: LEGEND.
Seems fitting to me. It was certainly a legendary experience. One will we never forget.
Anything is possible. Miracles happen. Adopting an attitude of gratitude makes them even more commonplace.
Now, I’m off to take another shower with joy in my heart and the poised certainty of knowing anything is possible.
Love,

A Creative Rebel’s Guide to Writing Amazing Fiction

Creative Flow has blessed me with 39 novels that have collectively sold over five million copies, in 16 languages, in under 8 years, earning me over $10 million and over 50 spots on The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and foreign bestselling lists. All of my dreams came true because I learned to write amazing fiction. I wrote this book for the old me. The girl who had big dreams, but no real idea how to write the books she’d need to make those big dreams come true. I wanted to make it easier for her to get to where I am now by sharing what I learned along the way. I wanted her to be able to leap over the pitfalls where I stumbled, avoid the challenges that held me back, and glide past the emotional despair, mental anguish, and burnout I faced. I wrote this book because my readers said that no one else writes books like me, and I thought… well, I bet I can teach some people how and humanity could benefit from better books being written. Ultimately though, I wrote this book because it was fun, and I enjoyed writing it immensely. I hope you love it and that it helps you on your creative journey. I hope all of your dreams come true because you learn to write amazing fiction. Don’t ever underestimate where it can take you. |
